Preparing for ECG Recording: Electrode Application
The figure below shows the electrode sites for acquisition of the Nehb
leads. Connect the 12-lead patient cable as shown in the figure on the
next page (Nap is the same as C4).

Nst
4th intercostal space at the right border of the sternum
Nax
At the posterior auxiliary line in the 5th intercostal space
(identical with C7)
Nap
At the mid-clavicular line (identical with C4) in the 5th intercostal
space
As an alternative it is also possible to record the Nehb leads with the 10-
lead patient cable (only in Manual Mode).
To do so, connect as follows.
R to Nst
L to Nax (C7)
F to Nap (C4)
Select SEQ. No. 4 (Chapter 10,
