    Introduction This manual provides component, maintenance, and servicing information on the MAC ECG Trolleys. Intended Use The MAC ECG Trolley will provide a means whereby MAC ECG Analysis Systems can be transported within a hospital, clinic, or physician office setting. Additionally, the trolley will be used to transport all supplies and accessories used by clinicians to prepare patients for the ECG exam, acquire ECG data, and transmit ECG data to a storage system.

    Maintenance Regular maintenance, irrespective of usage, is essential to ensure that the equipment will always be functional when required. WARNING: Failure on the part of all responsible individuals, hospitals or institutions, employing the use of this device, to implement the recommended maintenance schedule may cause equipment failure and possible health hazards.

    Maintenance FRU (Field Replaceable Units) Replacement Procedures NOTE: For installation or replacement of accessories, refer to the trolley's assembly instructions. Refer to “Related Documents” on page 13 for a list of the assembly instructions. Always perform the following steps before tipping the trolley for maintenance. Disconnect power cables.

  • Page 22: Removing The Mac Unit From The Modular Mac Trolley

    The MAC device should be removed from the trolley for service and/or maintenance procedures. For this procedure, you will need a #2 Phillips screwdriver. To remove the MAC unit from the Modular MAC Trolley, use the following procedure: Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to remove the two PHMS screws that secure the MAC mounting plate to the molded top.

    Maintenance Using the #2 Phillips screwdriver, insert the two PHMS screws that secure the molded top to the underside of the MAC mounting plate. Replace the equipment that was removed and reconnect power cables to the equipment on the trolley. Removing the MAC Unit from the MAC 1600 Trolley The MAC device should be removed from the trolley for service and/or maintenance procedures.

    This procedure applies to all trolley styles. For this procedure, you will need a #20 Torx screwdriver. To remove the bumper from the Modular MAC Trolley, use the following procedure: Using the T-20 Torx screwdriver, remove the four screws from the underside of the bumper.
