6 Preparing the product for use
6.1 Assembly
The components are ready for assembly on delivery and cannot be separated.
The product in combination with the component holder can only be assembled in the forearm
socket. The charging receptacle must be glued into the outer socket. The battery is attached in
the outer socket or between the outer and inner socket, depending on the available space. When
little space is available, the battery is laminated into the outer socket.
7 Handling
7.1 Switching the terminal device on and off
NOTICE
Signs of wear and tear on the product components
Injury due to faulty control or malfunction of the product.
Excessive pressure on the charging receptacle can lead to increased wear and tear on the
button.
7.2 Charging the battery
We recommend charging on a daily basis. If the device is not used for an extended period, the
battery charge level should be checked regularly and the battery recharged.
1) Connect the charging plug to the charging receptacle of the product.
→ A correct connection between the battery charger and the product is indicated by feed­
back (see page 17).
→ The prosthesis is switched off automatically.
→ The charging process starts.
2) Disconnect the product after the charging process is complete.
7.3 Display of the current charge level
The battery charge level can be queried at any time.
1) With the prosthesis switched on, press the charging receptacle button and hold for less than
one second.
2) The LED display on the charging receptacle provides information on the current battery
charge level (Status signals).
7.4 Safety shutoff
The purpose of the safety shutoff is to protect the product; it is triggered in case of:
Excessively high or low temperature in the battery's environment during the charging process
Short circuit
Overvoltage or undervoltage
► 1) Push and hold the charging receptacle button until a confirma­
tion sound is heard (at least 1 second).
→ The prosthesis and prosthetic components are switched on.
Repeat this process to switch the prosthesis and prosthetic compon­
ents off.
