Integral Process Thermostats and High-Temperature Thermostats
Cause ð Possible remedy
Check whether the hydraulic circuit is blocked (closed
n
valves, jammed hose, dirt,...). ð remedy the cause.
Pump level is too low ð select a higher pump level.
n
Hose cross-section too small ð increase the cross-
n
section or install a bypass.
Cooling output is too high for the available flow rate ð
n
reduce the cooling output.
Check whether the hydraulic circuit is blocked (closed
n
valves, jammed hose, dirt,...). ð remedy the cause.
Pump level is too low ð select a higher pump level.
n
The device is not sufficiently aerated or degassed ð
n
degas the device again.
Hose cross-section too small ð increase the cross-
n
section or install a bypass.
Heating output is too high for the available flow rate ð
n
reduce the heating output.
Wait until the outflow temperature has cooled below
n
the overtemperature switch-off point or set the switch-
off point higher than the outflow temperature.
Check hoses, connections and consumers for leaky
n
points (leaks) ð if necessary, eliminate the leakage and
top up the missing heat transfer liquid.
Check the constant temperature equipment as to
n
whether there is a leaky point (leak) ð if necessary
inform the LAUDA Service department Ä Chapter
14.4 "Contact LAUDA" on page 160
The liquid level can drop due to cooling or degassing ð
n
if necessary refill the missing heat transfer liquid.
heating increases the volume
n
the heat transfer liquid has absorbed moisture from the
n
ambient air
The viscosity of the heat transfer liquid is too high ð
n
change to another heat transfer liquid or increase the
set temperature.
The pump is blocked ð inform the LAUDA Service
n
department Ä Chapter 14.4 "Contact LAUDA"
on page 160
No liquid in system. If this is the case, the level mon-
n
itoring has failed. ð Check whether the float in the
expansion vessel is blocked by a foreign object. If not,
notify the LAUDA Service Ä Chapter 14.4 "Contact
LAUDA" on page 160 department.
