4.10.6 Earth Bonding
It is very important that the NV200 Spectral is properly bonded to earth, using one of
the earth tabs. Earthing on the standard chassis can be affixed to the lower screw
mounting points at the side of the unit:
The TEBS cashbox has
earthing points at the
back of the chassis as shown below. The plating on the chassis must be broken to
create a proper earthing point on the chassis, it is recommended to use a cutting screw
but and tool that can cut away the plating will suffice.
Lack of proper bonding can cause communication issues and other failures. The
resistance between the chassis and Earth should be less than 0.7Ω.
