4 Maintenance and Servicing

The following instructions provide information about routine mower conditioner service. Detailed maintenance and
service information is contained in the technical service manual that is available from your Dealer. A parts catalog
is located in a plastic case at the right end of the mower conditioner.
Log hours of operation and use the maintenance record provided (refer to
121) to keep track of your scheduled maintenance.

4.1 Preparing Machine for Servicing

CAUTION
To avoid personal injury, before servicing mower conditioner or opening drive covers, perform the
following procedures:
1. Lower the mower conditioner fully. If necessary to service in the raised position, always close lift cylinder valves.
2. Disengage power take-off (PTO).
3. Stop engine and remove key.
4. Engage park brake.
5. Wait for all moving parts to stop.
