Change characters or reference character strings

You can modify the characters or reference character strings of an existing character object
in the "Object settings" tab.
1.
To edit the parameters of the character object, select the object in the object list or in the
marking image editor.
The parameters are displayed in the category below the object list.

Select "Change" next to "Text" to change the text of a character object.
For character objects that consist of reference character strings, select "Change" next to
"Applied character strings".
Alternatively, double-click on the character object in the marking image editor.

In the dialog, change the characters.
For character objects that consist of reference character strings, set other reference
character strings.
4.
Select "OK" to save the changes and close the dialog.

Change the basic parameters of a character object

You can modify the parameters of an existing character object in the "Object settings" tab.
To edit the parameters of the character object, select the object in the object list or in the
marking image editor.
The parameters are displayed in the category below the object list.
Do either of the following to adjust the basic parameters:
For "Font", select a font for alphanumeric characters from the list.
Enter a value for "Bold line width [mm]" to specify the width of bold characters.
The bold font style is not available for some characters if the font "Original 4" is set.
Set "Bold line width [mm]" to max. one half of the value of "Character height [mm]" or
"Character width [mm]", whichever is smaller.
Specify the height and width of a character under "Character height [mm]" and "Character
width [mm]".
For bold characters, set the ratio of "Character height [mm]" to "Character width [mm]"
within the range from 1/10 to 10.
