Work with font files

6.5.1

About font files

At the factory, all included font files are already installed in the laser marking system. These
font files are saved to your PC when you install Laser Marker NAVI smart.
If you add a font, you created or edited using the Font Maker software, you must assign the
font to a suitable font number in the table. For example, do not assign a Simplified Chinese
font to the font numbers 01 to 50. Otherwise, some characters cannot be imported properly.
The fonts that are installed in the laser marking system are assigned to the following font
numbers:
J1
JIS level 1 font: Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji characters for Japanese, special
characters for Greek and Cyrillic.
Initial font file: JIS1.fon
J2
JIS level 2 font: Kanji characters for Japanese
Initial font file: JIS2.fon
GB1
Simplified Chinese font: GB 2312 level 1 characters
Initial font file: GB2312-1.fon
GB2
Simplified Chinese font: GB 2312 level 2 characters
Initial font file: GB2312-2.fon
US
User-defined font
Initial font file: USER1.fon
At the factory, two characters are preassigned to character codes 8121
for U1 and U2.
