Structure of a QR Code

A QR Code consists of the following basic code elements: a quiet zone, a finder pattern, a
timing pattern, an alignment pattern and the data area.
The structure of a QR Code and Micro QR Code is depicted in the following illustration:

Remarks
For QR Code, the minimum quiet zone on all sides is four modules.
Micro QR Code requires a quiet zone on all sides that is at least two modules wide.
iQR Code requires a quiet zone on all sides that is at least one module wide.
The finder patterns are placed in the top left, top right, and bottom left corners of the QR
Code. Micro QR Code has one finder pattern.
The data area consists of square dark (black) and light (white) data modules.
The alignment pattern is applied to QR Code Model 2.
