Specify reference character strings

Specify character strings as reference character strings, which can be commonly used
across character objects in the current file or in all files.
1.
Select the "Function settings" tab.
2.
Select "Current file" or "For all files".
3.
Select "Reference character strings" to display the list with all reference character
strings.
In the "Current file" tab, the character string numbers from 1 to 100 are displayed.
In the "For all files" tab, the character string numbers from 101 to 200 are displayed.
4.
To add or edit a reference character string, double-click on a table row.
5.
In the dialog, enter a text or change the existing text (max. 99 characters).
6.
Select "OK".
The specified reference character string is displayed in the list.

In the "Current file" tab, you can set character strings that can only be used in the
current file.
In the "For all files" tab, you can set character strings that can be used in all files.
Reference character strings for all files can only be set in online mode or when
editing a backup file.
Select "Functional characters", to specify functional characters such as date or
counter.
Select "User-defined characters", to insert a user-defined character.
To set the percent sign "%" as a character, input "%%".
To use Japanese or Simplified Chinese characters, specify the character set under
"East Asian characters" in "File settings".
