Backup the data
Create and keep periodic backups in case you need to replace the laser marking system for
repair or maintenance.
A backup file contains the data from the laser marking system.
1.
Establish an online connection between your PC and the laser marking system.
2.
Go to the "Data management" screen.
3.
Select "Backup".

Select a storage location for the backup file and select "Save".
The file is saved as a backup file (.lmb) to your local or network drive.

Edit a backup file
A backup file contains the data from the laser marking system. To edit a backup file, you can
work in offline mode.
To edit LP-400/LP-V backup data, you must first convert it to the backup file format .lmb.
Start Laser Marker NAVI smart.
The "Startup" screen appears.
Select "Offline" > "Open..." > "Backup (.lmb)".
Select a backup file from your local or network drive and select "Open".
A dialog opens and shows a list of all marking files saved in the backup file. The marking
file with the lowest number is selected in the list.
