27 Troubleshooting
Cause:
The character code used in the commands is incorrect.
Unsupported characters are used in the readout strings.
Remedy:
"Shift JIS", "GB 2312" and "Latin-1" cannot be used together.
Check the setting for "Encoding for non-ASCII characters" in the
"System settings".
Check if characters in the readout strings can be encoded with ASCII
code or the character code specified in "Encoding for non-ASCII
characters".

Linking of image processing devices

Common problems include the connection of the imagechecker or code reader, the
workpiece position, or the inspection conditions.
Linking of an imagechecker and/or a code reader fails
Cause:
The connection with the imagechecker or code reader is inadequate.
Remedy:
Check the connections to external devices for faulty or loose contacts.
For details, refer to the "Setup and Maintenance Guide".
Cause:
The communication settings are incorrect.
Remedy:
Check the communication settings. A change of this setting will take
effect only after restarting the laser marking system.
Cause:
The LAN cable is connected to the wrong port (EtherNet/IP or
PROFINET).
Remedy:
Connect the cable to the port marked "LAN" on the rear of the controller.
