The password entered is measured against 4 categories. Each of the categories
must be satisfied in order to achieve a "strong" password strength.

Must contain both lower and upper case letters

Must contain one or more numbers

Must contain at least one non-alphanumeric character (e.g. !@#$).

Must be at least 8 characters in length.
In addition if the default password is embedded in the New Password then those
characters are ignored when testing for each of the above criteria.
