Limit Switch Adjustment

The following is the general procedure for adjusting all the limit switches used on the A
F E , except for the mid-height limit switch, which calls for a different method of adjustment.

All limit switches MUST be working at all times. Otherwise, the operator may not be aware that the

arm is not fully retracted or that the grabber is open or closed. This may cause an accident, injuries
or property damages.
To adjust a limit switch:
1. Loosen the limit switch nut.
2. Move the rod to the approximate position where the switch is to be triggered.
3. Tighten the nut.
4. To fine tune the adjustment, loosen the nut slightly.
5. With a flathead screwdriver, turn the adjusting screw located at the center of the nut until a click
is heard.
6.
Tighten the nut.
7.
Test the operation.
8. If necessary, repeat steps 1 through 7.
