Rear suspension system
A
The rear suspension system uses a hydraulic monoshock absorber (1) with rebound and spring preload adjustment.
The shock absorber is pivot-mounted to the swingarm at the lower end and to the rear subframe frame at the upper end.
This system gives the motorcycle excellent stability.
For adjustment of the rear shock absorber, refer to Sect. D 4, Adjusting the rear shock absorber.
Removal of the rear shock absorber
B
Remove the seat (Sect. E 3, Removal of the seat).
To remove the rear shock absorber from the motorcycle, remove the upper (6) and lower (5) mounting screws.
