(1)Document size detection
Size detection on the document tray
The document width is detected by the document width sensor
(SPWS), and the document length is detected by the document length
sensors (SPLS1, SPLS2). The document size is judged from the docu-
ment width and the document length as shown in the table below.
When, however, mixed sizes of documents are loaded on the tray, the
maximum size is detected.

Transports a document to the transport roller 2. Controls the transport timing of the document and adjusts the
document scanning timing
Transports a document transported from the document scanning section to the paper exit roller
