1.11 Reinitializing and logging onto the Moneris host

1. Begin at the WELCOME/BONJOUR (or REINITIALIZATION REQUIRED) screen.
2. Press the key twice.
The ENTER ADMIN CODE entry screen appears.
3. Key in 01, and press the green

If SWIPE ADMIN CARD appears, swipe your POS Admin card.
 If RETAIN CURRENT MERCH SETTINGS? appears, press the
 If MERCHANT ID appears, simply press the green
 If PHONE NUMBER appears, simply press the green
4. Wait while the terminal communicates with the Moneris Test Host.
Over the next few moments, the screen will display SENDING, RECEIVING, and PROCESSING.
 If SWIPE ADMIN CARD appears, swipe your POS Admin card.
Note: This prompt will appear only if you did not swipe the card at the first appearance of the
SWIPE ADMIN CARD prompt in step 3 of this procedure.
 If HOST CONNECTION FAILED appears, see the message on page 29 to do troubleshooting.
5. Wait while the terminal logs onto the Moneris Test Host.
6. The WELCOME/BONJOUR screen appears once the reinitialization-logon process has
completed successfully.
Note: To ensure that unauthorized transactions cannot be processed, merchants are instructed
to log their terminal off at the end of each business day. For instructions on how to log off and
log on the terminal, see Logging off/Logging onto the Moneris Test Host on page 19.
