Setting the fresh-gas flow

The fresh-gas settings can be changed before a
ventilation mode is selected.
 Set the fresh-gas flow.
S-ORC (Sensitive Oxygen Ratio
Controller)
Fabius is equipped with a mechanical minimum O
delivery (S-ORC). This safety device prevents
hypoxic gas mixtures if N
carrier gas.
Starting at a flow of approx. 200 mL/min, the N
concentration in the fresh gas can be set to a value
between 0% and 75%.
When a lack of O is present, the S-ORC limits the

N O concentration in the fresh gas so that the O
2
concentration will not fall below 23 Vol%.
