Chapter 7 Troubleshooting
When Operation is Strange
Symptom
The DATA lamp does not blink even
when data is transmitted.
Media is bowed.
The media has been set, but even
when the set lever is raise, "Please set
the media" is displayed.
"RMS Sensor Error" comes up.
"Print Data Error" is displayed.
The separator does not operate.
The laminator does not operate.
Cross cut cannot be done.
Do not perform the cutting operation.
Paper setting cannot be done well,
and a "Printer Jamming" is displayed.
A "Printer Jamming" comes up.

Cause
Data is not being properly transmitted. Verify that the interface cable is
The media is set at a slant.
There is a possibility that something
wrong has occurred in the operation of
the set lever sensor.
Registration marks are not printed in
black.
Registration marks are cracked.
Data that cannot be verified has been
received.
The separator setting is OFF.
The laminator setting is OFF.
The cross cut setting is OFF.
The separator is not separating.
Cutting data is contained within the
data.
The cut line width is too thick.
The cut line color selection is different. Verify the driver software setting.
A jam has occurred because the end
of the media has not been lined up.
Set the ribbon cassette.
The dancer roller has not been set.
Dancer roller failure.
Solution
properly plugged in.
Correct the setting of the media.
Please contact the distributor where
you purchased the unit or your nearest
Graphtec vender.
Make ribbon 3 black.
Verify the Density Settings.
Verify the data.
Please turn ON the separator setting
in the function settings.
Please turn ON the laminator setting in
the function settings.
Please turn ON the cross cut setting in
the function settings.
When the separator does not separate,
cross cut does not perform well.
Perform the separator operation.
Verify the data.
Make the cut line the thinnest line.
Cut the end of the media neatly.
The ribbon cassette has not been set,
and the delivery of media does not go
well.
Set the dancer roller.
