About Loading and Saving a Recipe

Part 1128351_02
A recipe is a collection of product specific run-time settings, used to make
sure production runs of the same product have consistent adhesive output. A
recipe includes which external zones are enabled and their set point
temperatures. Additionally, if you have the Electronic Pressure Adjust option,
the minimum/maximum set points and thresholds are also stored in a recipe.
By default, you can fine-tune those settings as needed, but they are not
automatically saved to the currently loaded recipe. An asterisk appears next
to the number, indicating that the recipe was modified. You must save those
changes; otherwise, those changes will be lost the next time the melter is
power-cycled or when another recipe is loaded.
Tip:
S
Create or Save the current default settings to a recipe, such as recipe 1,
so you can always return to a known good settings.
NOTES:
S
Once you load a recipe, you can never "unload" or not make use of a
recipe, unless you do a Factory Reset (Tools | Backup/Restore/Reset |
Reset to Factory Default and only select Recipe. This will delete all
recipes from the melter, and return to No Recipe Loaded. If you do not
want to loose any recipes, you can Export then Import the recipes back
into the melter.
S
By default, the ability to use recipes is enabled. However, you can disable
it from System Settings | Preferences.
S
If you disable recipes, then the current settings will be used each time
you power cycle the melter.
S
Recipes must be enabled if you want to make use of Remote Recipe
Inputs. Refer to About Remote Recipe Inputs in the System Settings
chapter.
