Backing Up and Restoring the Melter

Backups are saved to a .NOR file (time and date stamp in the file name) to a
/backup folder on the USB drive. If the folder does not exist, the system will
automatically create it. The following is backed up:
S
Current version of software/firmware and settings
S
Melter ID
S
Network Settings
S
Licensing
S
Language preference
NOTES:
S
When transferring files between the melter and BBconn Cloud, the USB
drive must be formatted using FAT or FAT32. No other format, such as
NTFS and exFAT are supported.
S
Licensing and WiFi settings are restored, but only If serial number AND
the Unique ID of the unit matches the backup file.
S
The following is NOT restored:
S
Machine name
S
Tank level calibration
S
Logs, reports and history
S
Auto-tuned zones
1. Make sure you have a USB drive properly inserted in the USB port.
NOTE: If you have a .DAT file used for upgrading/downgrading you will be
prompted if you want to upgrade. Press

2. Select what you want to do, Backup or Restore, then press the
Navigation pad to start. When done, a confirmation message briefly
appears.
3. When done, press
return to the Tools menu.
