• Check that the load is balanced and safely fastened at the lifting points. The load must not be
able to slide, slip, or detach itself when suspended.
• Chain hoist must be positioned directly above (perpendicular to) the load so that there are no
side-pulling forces.
• Do not drag the load along the ground.
