Circuit operation of SS1 function of
In this case, when the activation command in sent to the external safety relay, the safety relay opens DI2 signal of
the inverter (through terminals 23 to 24) and the motor is decelerated first by the inverter (via deceleration ramp).
When the delay established on the external safety relay expires (this delay must be longer than the time necessary
to stop the motor, taking into account the deceleration time defined on the inverter and the inertia of the motor
load), the contacts with delay of the safety relay (terminals 47 to 48 and 57 to 58) open STO1 and STO2 inverter
signals and the Safety Stop function is enabled. The motor stops according to category 1 (SS1) of IEC/EN 60204-1.
In order to drive the motor again, it is necessary to apply STO1 and STO2 signals again (close terminals 13 to 23
and 23 to 24) and apply a pulse to the inverter DI1 input (START).
