3.3.2.3 Indication of STO Status

The inverter status is shown on the upper left side of the screen and in parameter P0006.
Possible inverter status: ready, run (inverter enabled), undervoltage, fault, self-tuning, configuration, DC braking
and STO (Safety Stop function enabled).
It is possible to define one or more relay digital inputs of the inverter to indicate that the Safety Stop function is
enabled (inverter state = STO) whether the inverter is in a fault state or not, and, more specifically, if the inverter
was tripped by fault F160 (fault of the Safety Stop function). In order to do so, use parameters P0275 (DO1), P0276
(DO2), P0277 (DO3), P0278 (C4) and P0279 (DO5) according to
Table 3.28: Options P0275...P0279 to indicate the inverter status or faults on the DOx digital outputs
DOx Digital Output Function
Inverter status = STO
(Safety Stop function enabled)
Fault F160
(inverter tripped by actuation of fault of the Safety Stop function)
Fault
(inverter tripped by the actuation of any fault)
Without fault
(inverter status is not fault)
Refer to the inverter Programming Manual for a complete list of the options for parameters P0275...P0279.

3.3.2.4 Periodical Test

The Safety Stop function, alternatively safety stop inputs (STO1 and STO2), must be enabled at least once a year
for the purpose of preventive maintenance. The inverter power supply must be turned off and turned back on
before performing such preventive maintenance. If during the test, the motor power supply is not disconnected,
the safety integrity is not guaranteed for the Safety Stop function. Therefore, the drive must be replaced so as to
ensure the operating safety of the system process or machine.
Description
Voltage between terminals 1 and 2 (coil K1 of the relay) and between
terminals 3 and 4 (coil K2 of the relay) of XC25 below 17 V
Voltage is applied to coil K1 of the relay (STO1), but voltage is not
applied to coil K2 of the relay (STO2) or vice-versa, or there is a delay
of more than 100 ms between one signal and the other. In order
to solve it, correct the external circuit that generates the STO1 and
STO2 signals
