• When the Link function by the USB cable
connection is turned on while [Wireless LAN
Enable] is set to [ON], the message to set [Wireless
LAN Enable] to [OFF] appears.
• When the Link function by the wireless LAN
connection is turned on while [Wireless LAN
Enable] is set to [OFF], the message to set
[Wireless LAN Enable] to [ON] appears.
e Turn off the machine.
Note
• When you turn off the machine, wait for about 5
seconds before turning on the machine again.
f Connect the machine to the computer.
• USB cable connection
When connecting the machine to the computer, use the
included USB cord clamps. (page 131)
• Wireless LAN connection
For details on the wireless LAN connection, refer to
page 29.
g Turn on the machine.
h Using embroidery editing software with the Link
function, such as PE-DESIGN NEXT or later from a
computer, send the pattern to the machine in the Link
mode.
i When the following message appears, touch
• USB cable connection
 A message appears in the machine's LCD while the
machine is connecting to computer.
Note
• For details on using the embroidery editing
software, refer to the Instruction Manual included
with it.
* This Link dialog box is found in PE-DESIGN
NEXT software.
• If the following error message appears, the type of
embroidery frame installed on the machine is not
compatible with the size of the pattern. Replace the
embroidery frame with one compatible with the
size of the pattern.
