C-46 DocuPrint N24, N32, and N40 System Administrator Guide
This section contains two sets of instructions:
• "Installing" (page C-47)
• "Removing" (page C-49)
These instructions are for installing either DRAM or Flash
memory SIMMs.
DRAM SIMMs for the DocuPrint N40 are available in the
following sizes:
• 8 MB
• 16 MB
• 32 MB
The Flash Memory SIMM is available in an 8MB size. See
Appendix A to order additional memory.
Memory SIMMs and the printer's controller board are
sensitive to static electricity. Before installing or removing a
memory SIMM, discharge static electricity from your body by
touching something metal, such as the metal back plate on
any device plugged into a grounded power source. If you
walk around before finishing the procedure, again discharge
any static electricity.
Never remove the printer controller board while the printer is
plugged in.
