    Installation 2.11 Location The SIROLaser Xtend is to be protected against the intrusion of liquids. The SIROLaser Xtend must not be used in areas, in which the appearance of liquids is probable.     – Battery: – The SIROLaser Xtend can be upgraded by the customer service. For this purpose the control unit with the handpiece must be returned to Sirona. Please, send the device back only in its original transport packaging to prevent damages.

As soon as you disassemble the optical fiber after treatment make sure to protect the optical fiber socket and the optical fiber with the protective caps provided for this purpose.

    5.2 Switch on power Switch on power After starting the SIROLaser Xtend by switching on the on/off button on the backside of the control unit the yellow LEDs will blinking on. While the SIROLaser Xtend is booting information about the software version and the set language as well as the advice to read the user manual will be displayed.

    5.5 Main home screen 5.5.1 Favorites With the SIROLaser Xtend the submenu 'Favorites' is not available. The touch field 'Favorites' and the buttons are grayed-out. After the upgrade you may use this function. Twelve applications from pre-set applications within the preset submenus Endodontics, Periodontology, Surgery and Miscellaneous or self-defined applications from My Settings can be entered to Favorites.
