The capillary tube determines the flow resistance and the maximal
flow rate. With the pressure regulator at the inlet side of the capil-
lary the flow rate can be adjusted within the given range, see dia-
gram below.
The standard capillary is an FEP tube with an inner diameter of
1 mm and length of 500 mm. If you have a low sample pressure or
you need a high sample flow, a shorter capillary with 186 mm
length can be used.
