3.3.2 P C / C o n t r o l l e r Communication
Connecting the controller to a PC
Connection is made with a RS-232-C cable (see Appendix C).
Connect one end of the cable to the RS-232-C connector of the MM4006
controller and the other end to the serial port #1 of the PC.
Configuring controller communication
• S w i t c h ON the controller with the power switch in rear panel and the
STAND-BY 1111 button in front panel.
• S w i t c h OFF the motor with the MOTOR s z a button.
• Select the CONFIG menu then the G E L menu.
• S c r o l l the general parameters with the help of U P o r DOWN keys.
• T o change a parameter select the
• T o change the value of the parameter, select the CHANGE key.
• T o save the new value, select the M f g key.
Example:
• P r e s s on 1;.*WNi key until the Terminator parameter appears.
• Select the A I M , menu.
• Select the : g y m ( key until the terminator is at LF.
• S a v e the selection with the VALID k e y.
• Configure the communication parameters of the MM4006 as follows:
- Terminator:
- Communication: R S 2 3 2
- M o d e XON/XOFF: N O N
- Speed:
1 9 2 0 0
- Parity:
N
- Length:
- S t o p Bits:
• W h e n the communication parameters are configured, press on the
01.11r key.
• T o go back to the main screen, press on the w o n key.
