Computer Module
The rear panel of the Computer Module will have several connectors. The connectors, and
their position, depend on which function cards are fitted; as the rear panel is made up of small
panels that are attached to certain function cards. A typical Computer Module rear panel is
shown below.

Computer Module Rear View
Do not apply a voltage of more than lt12 V to any of these connectors except the system power
connector.
The connectors that may be on the rear panel of the Computer Module (together with their
connecting function cards) are:

System Power Connector; this is a connector, used to input the 60 V DC power supply
from the Display Module.
Equipotential Grounding Terminal; this is used to connect the Computer Module to the
hospital's grounding system.
SDN Connectors (SDN Interface); these are HP SDN connectors, used to input/output
information to/from an HP Care-net network.
HP-HIL (Human Interface) Connector; this provides a human interface to link the display
and the keyboard.
RS232 Connectors (RS232 Interface); these are 25-pin "D" type connectors. The top
connector is used to output information to printers. The bottom connector is reserved for
use by service personnel.
HDLC Connector; this is use-d to connect to the HP M1117A recorder.
Video Out Connector (CDSPC-Video or DSPC); this is a connector used to output
information to be displayed on the remote Display Module.
Video Out Connector (CDSPC-Video or DSPC); this is a connector used to output
information to be displayed on the main Display Module.
