To Install the Locking Cam
This procedure is used for surface-mounting a 14" Display Module onto a Computer Module,
or for mounting a Computer Module or 14"Display Module to a hospital shelf or cart with the
mounting plate fitted.
Step 1
Check the Locking Cam arm is pointing directly out of the rear of the equipment.
Step 2
Lift the equipment to be surface-mounted with the front towards you.
Step 3
Align its feet in the slots of either a computer module or adapter plate.
Step 4
Lower the equipment so that the feet engage in the slots and slide towards you
until the unit stops. If the equipment does not stop lift out and repeat step 3.
Step 5
Rotate the Locking Cam arm clockwise to lock the equipment into place. This
stops the unit from being lifted off of the surface.
Step 6
If surface mounting a 14" Display Module onto a Computer Module, attach the
gold-colored spring clips onto the rear housing edges. Slide the clip sideways to
cover the cam handle.
To Install the Spanning Rails
The spanning rails must be attached to the bottom of either a 14" Display Module or a
Computer Module to enable them to be mounted on a Wall Mount (using an adapter plate), a
Ceiling Mount or a Wall Hanger. The procedure for attaching the spanning rails is detailed in
the following steps.
Step 1
Stand the 14" Display Module on its back or the Computer Module on its Top
Cover.
Step 2
Remove the four feet from the bottom of the equipment; the screws and the four
holes left by the feet will be used for attaching the rails.
Step 3
Step 4
Align each spanning rail with the holes in the base of the equipment and secure
with two screws, previously used for the feet, so that the rails run front to back.
This will stabilize the equipment when wall mounted or hung.
Attach the silver colored spring clips, by pushing them on to engage the rear lip of
the housing and both grooves in the rails.
