Installing A-Option Mounts
lb Install the Rack Mount
The 19" Rack Mount (M1180A # A40, # A41, # A42, # A43) can be used to mount the 14"
Display Module, Computer Module or 14" Display Module and Computer Module combined into
a 19" Rack Cabinet.
The procedure for installing any of the equipment into a 19" Rack Cabinet is detailed in the
following steps. The rack mount assembly for M1180A # A41, # A42 and # A43 is shown in
Figure 6-28. M1180A #A40 contains only the bezel.

First determine the spacing required for the equipment to be installed, using the
following method:
1. Locate the pairs of holes on the front of both front mounting posts that
correspond with the holes in the bezel.
2. Install four Tmnerman@ nuts (0535-0093) in these holes.
3. Locate the holes in the inner face (if present) of the front and rear posts where
the side guides of the base will be attached.
4. Install four Tinnerman@ nuts (0535-0093) in these holes.
Fasten the side guides to the base using one screw (2680-0051) in front, and a clip
at the rear
Hold the base above the bezel bottom edge line, extending into the enclosure.
Align the lower rearward holes at the front of the side guides with the holes on
the insides of the rack mounting posts.
