Configuring linear error compensation (LEC)
With linear error compensation (LEC) the product applies a compensation factor
that is calculated from the specified length of a reference standard (nominal
length) and the actual traverse path (actual length). The compensation factor is
applied to the complete measuring range.

Tap Settings in the main menu
Tap Axes
Select the axis
Open in the sequence
Error compensation
Linear error compensation (LEC)
Enter the length of the reference standard (nominal length)
Confirm the entry with RET
Enter the length of the actual traverse path determined by
measure (actual length)
Confirm the entry with RET
Activate Compensation with the ON/OFF slide switch
You can also use Linear error compensation (LEC) for angle encoders
if the rotation angle is less than 360°.
