Replacing the laser radiator exhaust fans (#5, 6,
7, 8, 9, 10)
The laser radiator exhaust fans draw hot air out of the laser radiator.
1. Remove the top cover (on page 42).
2. Remove the intake side cover (on page 43).
3. Disconnect the J103 harness from the housekeeping (HKBC) board.
4. Disconnect the four harnesses from the light engine intake fans.
The four harnesses to remove: Fan 1, Fan 2, Fan 3, Fan 4.
5. Loosen the captive screw securing the harness bracket.
6. Remove three screws (shown in step 6) from the top of the laser radiator exhaust fans pack.
7. Using a 3 mm extra-long screwdriver, loosen the three captive screws from the bottom of the
laser radiator exhaust fans pack.
8. To replace an individual fan.
