4. Pull out the fan assembly.
5. To replace an individual fan.
a) Remove the eight screws securing the fan grill bracket.
b) Cut the tie-wrap holding the harnesses.
c) Remove the affected fan from the rubber boot and replace.
6. To re-install, repeat these steps in reverse order.
Make sure to align the arrow on the fan with the arrow on the rubber boot.
Replacing the rear exhaust fans (#13, 14, 17, 18,
19) for Crimson HD31/WU31
The rear exhaust fans draw hot air out of the projector.
Applies to: Crimson HD31, Crimson WU31
1. Remove the top cover (on page 42).
2. Remove the rear cover (on page 42).
3. Disconnect the five exhaust fan in-line harness connectors.
4. Remove the five screws securing the rear exhaust fan assembly.
5. Pull out the rear exhaust fan assembly.
