PM Parts Settings
Before Removing Old PM Parts
1. Enter the SP mode.
2. Output the SMC logging data with SP5990-004.
3. Press the PM parts counter reset button in the PM Parts display before you turn the power off.
4. Exit the SP mode.
• After the PM count for the fusing cleaning web and the drum lubricant bar expire, the machine
stops automatically.
• After replacing developer, the count is cleared by executing SP3024-001 (Developer Filling), so
there is no need to perform a counter clear.
After Installing New PM Parts
1. Turn on the main power switch. The machine will reset the PM counts automatically and initialize
default SP code settings.
2. Check the "Initial Adjustment SP Lists". Refer to this list if any SP must be set manually after a part
replacement.
3. Output the SMC logging data with SP5990-004 and check the counter values.
4. Make sure that the PM counters for the replaced parts are "0" in the PM parts display. If the PM
counter for a unit has not been reset to zero, reset that counter again.
