Transmitting a call (Continued)

D Transmitting a Short Message

A user can transmit a preset message of up to 100
characters.
(Menu > Signaling/Call > Call Menu)
1. Push [Menu] to display the Menu screen.
2. Push [Left] or [Right] to select "Signaling/Call,"
then push [OK].
3. Push [Up] or [Down] to select "Call Menu," then
push [OK].
4. Select "Short Message," then push [OK].
5. Select the target Individual station, then push
[OK].
6. Select a Message, then push [PTT] to transmit it.
• "Success" is displayed after receiving an
acknowledgment from the target station.
• "Failed" is displayed if the target station does not send
back an acknowledgment.
TIP:
• You can also transmit a Short Message through
"Short Message."
(Menu > Signaling/Call > Short Message)
• Push [Call Menu] to directly display the "Call
Menu" screen in step 4 to the left.
• Push [Short Message] to directly display the "Short
Message" screen in step 5 to the left.
• Hold down [Status] for 1 second transmit the
preset Status Message to the currently selected
destination.
