D Transmitting a Call Alert call
A Call Alert call is designed to notify the target station
user who may be away from his/her transceiver, or in
noisy environment with an alert and indication.
If the target station is active when a signal is received,
an acknowledgment is automatically transmitted.
The calling station can verify whether a target station
is active or not.
(Menu > Signaling/Call > Call Menu)
1. Push [Menu] to display the Menu screen.
2. Push [Left] or [Right] to select "Signaling/Call,"
then push [OK].
3. Push [Up] or [Down] to select "Call Menu," then
push [OK].
4. Select "Call Alert," then push [OK].
5. Select the target Individual station, then push
[PTT] to transmit a Call Alert call.
• "Success" is displayed after receiving an
acknowledgment from the target station.
• "Failed" is displayed if the target station does not send
back an acknowledgment.
TIP:
• Push [Call Menu] to directly display the "Call
Menu" screen in step 4 as described above.
• Push [Call Alert] to directly display the "Call Alert"
screen in step 5 as described above.
D Transmitting a Status Query call
A Status Query call requests the target transceiver to
transmit status messages.
When a Status Query call is received, the target
transceiver automatically transmits the last transmitted
Status message.
(Menu > Signaling/Call > Call Menu)
1. Push [Menu] to display the Menu screen.
2. Push [Left] or [Right] to select "Signaling/Call,"
then push [OK].
3. Push [Up] or [Down] to select "Call Menu," then
push [OK].
4. Select "Status Query," then push [OK].
5. Select the target Individual station, then push
[PTT] to transmit a Status Query call.
• "Status Query" and the message from the target
station are displayed.
• "Failed" is displayed if the target station does not send
back an acknowledgment.
TIP: Push [Call Menu] to directly display the "Call
Menu" screen in step 4 as described above.
