Prepunched Paper

When using pre-punched paper, the pre-punched holes may be wrongly detected as paper edge and
jam code J097 or J098 appears.
If this happens, carry out the following settings;

Advanced Settings", Adjustment Item Menu Guide.
Are you using the right kind of
pre-punched paper?
For details, see the "Guide to
Paper".
Where do you have the punch
position to the paper feed direction?
Position 1
Position 1: Side away from the control
Position 2: Control panel side
Position 3: Leading/trailing edge
Change the setting to the setting shown
in Table 1 or Table 2, depending on the
paper size and number of holes.
For position 2, see Table 1.
For position 3, see Table 2.
