LHluK control unit error diagnosis
028 S 4 as from Model 80.
The LH/EZK contrd unit is capable of selfdiag-
nods as from model year 88. That is to say
that the control unit is capable of detecting,
storfng and displaying system errors. An
amended part number MentMes the control
unit capable of diagnosis. A special developed
diagnostic tester (special tool No. 9268) is then
used to read out the error memory and to test
spaclfic components and control signals of the
fuel and ignition system.
Impotint: Do not disconnect the battery or
the connector of the DME control unit
before diagnosis as otherwise the error
memory wll be erased.
