DIASSEMBLING AND ASSEMBLING DRIVE PINION
Disassembling
1. Remove lock nut for drive pinion with
Special Tools 9219 and 9218.
2. Press off gear wheels with Special Tool
VW 457 and a pertinent support.

A = Standard U-iron (U 200)
approx. 260 mm long.
3. Press off bearing cap with a pertinent
pressure pad.
