DISASSEMBLING AND ASSEMBLING PINION SHAFT
Disassembling
1. Press gears and inner races off of pinion shaft with
special tool VW 457 and a suitable support.

A -Standard U-steel (U 200) approx. 260 mm long
2. Unscrew lock nut with special tools 9142 and 9143.

3. Press off bearing cover with a suitable press tool.
