BED MOTION CONTROL PANEL

Use the Bed Motion Control Panel to adjust the height and angle of the patient support surface and frame, as well as, set
Lockouts for Head, Knee Gatch, Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg angles and Bed Height. The Bed Motion Control
Panel is located on the frame below the litter surface at the unit's foot end.

Raise / Lower Height Of Bed

Use Bed Up / Down levers to adjust height of litter surface from 22 in to 31 in.
Press BED UP arrow to raise patient surface.
Press BED DOWN arrow to lower patient surface.

Trendelenburg / Reverse Trendelenburg

Use Trendelenburg / Reverse Trendelenburg to adjust patient support surface from 8° Trendelenburg to 8° Reverse
Trendelenburg.
Prior to activating Trendelenburg or Reverse Trendelenburg, assess the security of all invasive lines and tubes to
accommodate the desired angle of articulation and minimize the risk of binding, disconnecting or dislodging. Tubes and lines
should always have slack for patient movement.

To place bed in Trendelenburg position:
Press the HEAD DOWN and FEET DOWN arrows to level patient support surface.
Press the BED UP arrow on the Main Control Panel or press the BED UP lever located on the Bed Motion Control
Panel to raise patient surface to its full height.
Pull out the TRENDELENBURG lever located on the Bed Motion Control Panel, as
shown at right.
Press the BED DOWN arrow or press the BED UP lever located on the Bed Motion
Control Panel to adjust patient support surface from 0° to 8° Trendelenburg.

To place bed in Reverse Trendelenburg position:
Press the HEAD and FEET DOWN arrows to level patient support surface.
To prevent patient migration during Reverse Trendelenburg, press the FEET UP arrow to raise the foot section of the
patient surface into a slight knee gatch.
