Auto Program Selection Guidelines

MANUAL AIR ADJUSTMENT
Use Manual Air Adjustment to individually select air pressures for each set of cushions when Auto Program Air Adjustment
does not provide appropriate patient positioning.
1. Press AIR ADJUST button. The LED flashes when changes can be made.
2. Press the INFLATE / DEFLATE arrows for the corresponding region, adjust target pressures as needed.
NOTE: Allow sufficient time for cushions to respond to air pressure adjustments.
3. Check patient for proper alignment.
•
Allow a cradling effect, approximate 40% depression into cushions where patient lies.
•
Perform a hand check beneath head, shoulders, hips and heels:
•
Slide hand under Cover Sheet and beneath cushions to rest on Cushion Support Surface.
•
Lift hand slightly to verify approximately 4 inches of air is supporting the patient.
4. Press AIR ADJUST button to exit Air Adjust.
