The LED indicator is unlit when pulse operation is inactive.
Pulse mode is chosen by:
1.
pressing either the LOW or HIGH button on the Auxiliary Control
Panel or by
2.
pressing either the LOW PULSE or HIGH PULSE button on the
main control panel.
NOTE: LED indicators on the LOW PULSE or HIGH PULSE buttons
on the Main Control Panel indicate which pulse mode is
active.
A steady light indicates active pulse mode.
A flashing light indicates inactive pulse mode.

COMPLETION OF PATIENT PLACEMENT

1.
Raise and lock Side Rails, if required. (See related Risks and Precautions and Safety Tips sections in the Introduction
chapter of this manual.)
2.
Adjust Heater settings, if required:
Press HEAT ON / OFF button on the Main Control Panel. LED will light.
Display will display setting between 50°F and 105°F (10°C to 40.5°C).
Press the TEMP UP / DOWN arrows until desired temperature is displayed.
3.
Prior to weighing patient, ensure that:
All four casters are aligned with the base frame.
All items that are to occupy the unit with the patient are in place on the unit and that none touch the floor.
The unit does not have contact with walls, chairs or any other surrounding objects.
I.V. Poles, and Foley bags, chest tube canister, etc. are supported by a separate stand and not attached to the unit.
4.
Weigh patient:
Press B / SET to begin weighing.
LED will display message, as shown at right.
Press B or C button to select NO.
LED will display patients weight.
5.
Set the Bed Exit Alarm:
Press BED EXIT button on the Bed Exit / Scale Control Panel.
LED will change to show Exit Alarm is now operational, as shown at right.
6.
Adjust head of bed for patient comfort.
