Exit Alarm

Use Exit Alarm button to activate / deactivate patient Exit Alarm. An audible alarm will sound if a 10% or more decrease in
patient weight is detected.
On the Scale Control Panel, press EXIT ALARM button to turn Exit Alarm either ON or OFF.
One of the displays shown at right will appear to reflect the current status of the Exit Alarm.
NOTE: Patient weight values must be more than 10 kg to set the alarm.
NOTE: The Exit Alarm is deactivated by the Zero and Set recalibration of the Scale. It is also deactivated by CPR
engagement. The Exit Alarm remains active during weight Hold.
NOTE: The Exit Alarm will be cancelled if the patient re-enters the bed.

Hold

Use Hold to retain the current weight value in memory while other weight (traction, etc.) is added or removed. Added /
removed weight will not be reflected in weight reading.
1.
On the Scale Control Panel, press the A / HOLD button. The display at right will appear.
2.
Press the C / ZERO button corresponding to YES. The screen shown at right will appear.
NOTE: Do not touch the bed for 10 seconds while Scale is being recalibrated.
3.
The screen shown at right will appear.
4.
Add or remove weight.
NOTE: Alarm will beep until Hold function is cancelled.
NOTE: Exit Alarm is deactivated during Hold, but is restored when Hold is cancelled.
5.
The screen shown at right will appear as bed reweighs patient.
NOTE: Do not touch bed for 10 seconds while Scale is being recalibrated.
6.
Press any button to cancel Hold.
Activation of the Bed Exit Alarm is recommended whenever the
patient is unattended. Be sure to reactivate the Bed Exit Alarm each
time the patient returns to bed.
