Dry Cover Sheet with towel. Remaining moisture will evaporate rapidly with air flow.

Position patient on mattress, verifying that top of shoulder is between second and third cushions.
8.
Raise and lock Side Rails, if required. (See related Risks and Precautions and Safety Tips sections in the Introduction
chapter of this manual.)
9.
Turn INSTAFLATE / MEMORY RETURN knob counterclockwise to restore preset cushion pressure settings.
10. Adjust support surface for patient comfort.
11. Return Heater to previous setting.

BEDPAN PLACEMENT

1.
Level patient support surface.
2.
Press SEAT DEFLATE ON / OFF button located on each side of frame or on the Auxiliary Control Panel to reduce air
pressures in the cushions of the Seat section by 50%.
NOTE: Alarm will sound after 12.50 minutes. If more time is required, you may silence the alarm by pressing ALARM
SILENCE, which will provide an additional 12.50 minutes of quiet.
3.
Lower Side Rails (on caregiver's side).
4.
Log roll patient toward opposite Side Rail.
5.
Position bedpan parallel to patient's buttocks.
6.
Push bedpan down into cushions and position bedpan underneath patient.
7.
Log roll patient onto bedpan, keeping one hand on bedpan.
8.
Raise and lock Side Rails, if required. (See related Risks and Precautions and Safety Tips sections in the Introduction
chapter of this manual.)
9.
Adjust support surface for patient comfort.

BEDPAN REMOVAL

1.
Level patient support surface.
2.
Lower Side Rails (on caregiver's side).
3.
Grasp bedpan firmly with one hand, and log roll patient to opposite side with other hand.
4.
Cleanse patient's posterior.
5.
Remove bedpan and finish cleaning patient.
6.
Return patient to supine position in center of mattress.
7.
Position patient on mattress, verifying that top of shoulder is between second and third cushion.
8.
Raise and lock Side Rails, if required. (See related Risks and Precautions and Safety Tips sections in the Introduction
chapter of this manual.)
9.
Press SEAT DEFLATE ON / OFF button located on each side of frame or on the Auxiliary Control Panel to return seat
cushions to target pressure.
10. Adjust support surface for patient comfort.
