If required, manually adjust air pressures. Allow time for cushions to reach new air pressures. Verify air pressures during
cycle with hand check after each adjustment.

If Pulse Mode is active, observe at least one complete pulse cycle.
NOTE: One complete cycle starts at EVEN PAUSE and consists of progress to HIGH PAUSE, return to EVEN PAUSE,
progress to LOW PAUSE and return to EVEN PAUSE.
A. Using the CYCLE TIME button, set the cycle time to 2.50 minutes.
B. Observe the LED Bargraphs to ensure that one is progressing toward HIGH PAUSE and one is progressing toward
LOW PAUSE.
C. Verify that at all times during the cycle and at all points where the patient contacts the cushions, the cushion
compresses approximately 40% of the patient's front to back thickness and the patient's neck should be neither flexed
nor extended.
D. If cushion compression is not as specified, manually adjust air pressures as needed. Allow time for cushions to reach
new air pressures. Verify air pressures during cycle with hand check after each adjustment.
NOTE: Refer to the Pulse Operation section in the Patient Placement chapter of this guide, for detailed explanations of
the pulse feature.
E. Set CYCLE TIME, as required.

Ensure all brakes are locked.
10. Adjust bed height to lowest level.
11. Set Lock-Outs, as required:
NOTE: Lock-Out controls are located on the Bed Motion Control Panel located below the Main Control Panel.
Bed Functions (Raise / Lower Head, Foot, Bed, etc):
Locate Bed Motion Lock-outs on Bed Motion Control Panel, as shown at
right.
Press buttons corresponding to each function to be locked-out.
Air Functions:
Press and hold ALARM SILENCE button for 10 seconds.
Observe that the °F / °C button's LED flashes and that all
AIR ADJUST controls are disabled.
