SCALE CONTROL PANEL

The Scale Control Panel is located to the right of the Main Control Panel and slides out from underneath the Foot Board of
the unit.
Use the Scale Control Panel to:
•
View current patient weight.
•
Recalibrate the scale to zero.
•
Preset the scale to a known patient weight.
•
Activate / deactivate patient Exit Alarm.
•
Postpone patient weighing for a specified length of time.

Zero

Use Zero to recalibrate the Scale to 0 lb (0 kg) prior to patient placement, with linens and all equipment etc., already on
weighed portion of the bed.
NOTE: Do not attach I.V. poles, bottles, or Foley bags to the unit. A separate stand should be used to support I.V. and Foley
Bags since their weight changes significantly during patient stay and can cause erroneous weight readings and false
patient Exit Alarms.
NOTE: Prior to any Scale procedure, ensure that all four casters are turned in the same direction with the wheels swiveled
towards the foot end of the unit, aligned with the base frame. Brakes should be locked.
NOTE: Do not lean against the unit when the scale is operating. This will cause erroneous weight display.
1. Press C / ZERO button. The prompt shown at right will appear.

Press to return patient weight display to zero.

EXIT Press to toggle patient exit alarm on/off.
Press to silence alarm.
