CDM-710/L Broadcast Satellite Modem
Introduction
1.1.1 Applications
With an ASI interface and either the CDM-710 (70/140 MHz) or CDM-710L
(L-Band) IF, the unit is ideal for video or data transmission formats that take
advantage of the frame structures developed for digital video applications.
Further opportunities are opened with the Gigabit Ethernet option installed. The
terrestrial data interface modules are field-removable to allow swap-out of
interface types. These modules include the CDI-40 ASI, CDI-60 HSSI, and CDI-70
Gigabit Ethernet (GBEI) Data Interfaces.
The CDM-710/L's bandwidth and power-efficient operation is ideal for:
• Digital Video Broadcast (DVB)
• Digital Satellite News Gathering (DSNG)
• Primary or Backhaul Transmission for:
